2008 Street Stocks

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication. For compliance with these rules and/or regulations, these guidelines are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that, in his or her opinion, do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements.

No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from such alteration of specifications. Any interpretation or deviation from these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

If it doesn't say you can, you can't.

1. OEM standard steel body or after market steel or aluminum body allowed.
2. 8” (eight inch) spoilers allowed.
Weight: 3,000 pounds after race, with driver.
All cars will be weighed at the end of each feature.

Wheels and Tires
Wheels: 10” (ten inch) steel wheels, wide 5” (five inch) wheels and hubs are allowed.
Tires: Optional Example: DOT, modified, late model, etc.

Engines

1. All engines must have cast iron blocks and heads.
2. Cylinder heads: Any steel heads (factory or performance) allowed. Examples: Dart, Bowtie, etc. Porting and polishing allowed. Roller rockers, guide plates, and stud gridles allowed.
3. Camshafts: Solid, hydraulic, or roller allowed.
4. Engine may be moved back, but the number one spark plug must not exceed the ball joint.

Carburetor
Any two or four barrel allowed.

No alcohol.

Drive Train
1. Transmission type optional: Automatic, standard three or four speeds and racing transmissions allowed. Example: Bert or Brinn.
2. All cars must have a working reverse.
3. 360-degree drive shaft hoop is mandatory, installed on the forward third of drive-shaft.
4. Drive-shaft must be steel and stock for car. Drive-shaft must be painted white.
5. 9” (nine inch) floaters' rear end allowed.
6. Racing clutches and couplers allowed.
7. Wedge bolts allowed front and rear.
8. Front suspension after market tie rod ends and steel sleeves are optional.
9. Racing shocks allowed at any location.
10. Pull bars: Any legal type.
11. Adjustable lower trailing arms are legal. Must be in stock location on the frame.

DOOR BARS
A minimum of three driver side door bars, at least 1 1/2” (one and a half inch) O.D., must be as parallel with ground as possible and located perpendicular to the driver so as to provide maximum protection for the driver but without causing difficulty getting into or out of car. The side bars must be welded to front and rear of roll cage members. You must have one 1 1/2” (one and a half inch) O.D. on the passenger's side of car. A steel door plate 18 gauge or .049 thickness steel must be securely welded outside drivers side door bars. Plate must cover area from top door bar to bottom door bar and from rear to five inches in front of seat. Must be visible for inspection.

Frame and Unibody

1. 108" wheelbase minimum.
2. Frame must remain stock until the center of the rear end housing.
3. Frames may be boxed or X for strength.
