2008 PURE STOCK RULES
RULE BOOK DISCLAIMER
THE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS SET FORTH HEREIN ARE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORDERLY CONDUCT OF RACING EVENTS AND TO ESTABLISH MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCH EVENTS. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFTEY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS.
THEY ARE INTENDED AS A GUIDE FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE SPORT AND ARE, IN NO WAY, A GUARANTEE AGAINST INJURY OR DEATH TO A PARTICIPANT, SPECTATOR, OR OFFICIAL.
THE RACE DIRECTOR SHALL BE EMPOWERED TO PERMIT REASONABLE AND APPROPRIATE DEVIATION FROM ANY OF THE SPECIFICATIONS HEREIN OR IMPOSE ANY FURTHER RESTRICITIONS THAT IN HIS OPINION DO NOT ALTER THE MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENTS.
NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICIATIONS. ANY INTERPRETATION OR DEVIATION OFTHESE RULES IS LEFT TO THE DISCRETION OF THE OFFICIALS. THEIR DECISION IS FINAL.
SOGGY BOTTOM RACEWAY LLC MANAGEMENT

IF IT DOESN'T SAY YOU CAN THEN YOU CAN'T
1. Any stock US production model 1960 and newer. No convertibles, station, wagons, or trucks allowed.
2. Minimum stock wheelbase allowed: 108" (no shortening of frame or body)
3. No bracing anywhere of any kind.
4. All doors must be welded, chained, or bolted shut.
5. All glass must be removed and replaced with screen.
6. Approved seat belts and approved shoulder harness required. Belts must be 3 inches wide and in good condition. Five point quick release system recommended. Made for racing seats mandatory.
7. Adequate firewall mandatory.
8. Complete bumper-to-bumper steel unibody must be retained.
9. Stock steel unaltered floor pan to rear of 4 point cage. Stock Steel firewall: must have steel rear firewall.
10. "Cars must be strictly stock.” No chopping, channeling, shortening, or cutting allowed. Holes in hood are optional, and the hood must be kept in place at all times. Body sheet metal must be kept in place at all times.
11. Front firewall must be sealed.
12. Tow chain is mandatory on front and rear. (Chain or cable)
13. Cars must have a bumper. Each bumper should have two chains or straps to help prevent it from falling off.
14. Minimum weight at ANY TIME is 3500 pounds with the driver.
15. "Added" weight must be bolted, welded, or securely fastened. Installation must be approved by the technical inspector.
16. All weights must be painted white and numbered to the car.
17. Window nets are mandatory.
18. Full roll cage mandatory.
19. All cars must have a number on both doors and on the top (18" or larger) and must be very visible.
20. Solid motor mounts and mid-mounts are acceptable.
21. Optional: maximum 5" tall spoiler.
22. Quick steer box allowed
23. Must have 4 working brakes.

ENGINE (360 CID RULE)
1. The engine must be in its original mount position. No SB 400s!
2. Factory Quadra Jet aluminum intake allowed. No high rise aluminum intakes. No bow ties.
3. Hydraulic cams only!
4. 300 LIFT AT BASE OF CAM. MAY RUN 1.5 OR 1.6 STOCK ROCKER ARMS. (EXAMPLE: 1.5 = 450 LIFT OR 1.6=480 LIFT). Stock Valve Spring diameters only!
5. No porting or grinding of any kind on heads, intake, or exhaust. Porting under valves only is all right.
6. No after-market racing parts. May run roller tip rocker arms.
7. Basically: Don't do anything to the motor. 1.94-1.50 Valves max only for Chevrolet. 1.84-1.54 for Ford.
8. No stroking of motors. No special strokes. Factory Stroke only 6" rods legal.
9. All factory heads 72CC and up allowed. 305 Heads allowed; screw in studs and guide plates allowed. Stock Valve Spring diameters only!
10. Pumping and tear down if necessary!
11. May run dish or flat top pistons only! Maximum bore .060.
12. 1 5/8" headers allowed; no step-ups.
13. Aluminum water pump and pulleys allowed
14. Stocks weight cranks only, stock 1 piece cranks allowed Chevys Fords etc

CARBURETOR
1. Cars may have one stock unaltered 2 barrel or 4 barrel carburetors, 600 Holley allowed (will be gauged). No rear metering block in rear of carburetor.
2. Adapter plated for 4 barrel to 2 barrel is allowed. No spacers under carburetor.
3. Fuel must be gasoline. No alcohol, alcohol base, nitrous base, or nitro methane.
4. Quadra jet allowed
5. May run dual lines but not double pumpers.

TRANSMISSIONS & REAR ENDS
1. Stock automatic transmissions and power glide with working torque converter. Or a stock straight shift 3 or 4 speed with all forward gears in working order and reverse in working order. No aluminum flywheels; stock weight steel flywheels only. No shaving of any kind allowed. No mini or race clutches, minimum of a 10.5 clutch and pressure plate.
2. Locked, or positive traction, rear ends are allowed.
3. May run 9" Ford with stock suspension.
4. Floaters and disk brakes on rear ends are allowed.
5. 360 degree drive-shaft hoop is mandatory, installed on forward third of drive shaft.
6. Drive shaft must be steel and stock for that car. Drive shaft must be painted white!
7. Rear ends may be substituted provided track width is not altered.

DOOR BARS
A minimum of three driver side door bars, at least 1.5-inch O.D., must be as parallel with ground and located perpendicular to driver so as to provide maximum protection for driver, but without causing difficulty getting into or out of car. The side bars must be welded to front and rear of roll cage members. Must have one 1.5 O.D. on passenger side of car. A steel door plate 18 gauge or .049 thickness steel must be securely welded outside driver's side door bars. Plate must cover area from top-door-bar to bottom-door-bar and from rear to five inches in front of the seat. Must be visible for inspection.

GAS TANK INSTALLATION
1. The stock tank must be removed and replaced with a safe, small, securely mounted 6- gallon outboard marine type tank. Plastic, steel, or a fuel cell.
2. No holes allowed in trunk lid. One fuel tank only.
3. The fuel line must exit from the top of the tank. No fuel lines in the driver's compartment. No electric pumps.
4. A complete firewall must be seal the trunk area from the driver's compartment. The trunk floor must be in place. No aluminum inside the car for front or rear firewalls.
5. Tank must be secured by four over the tank (two in each direction) must be 1 1/2 X 1 1/8" strips.
6. Installation subject to the inspection by the technical inspector.

SUSPENSION
1. Stock mount shocks on the front no-wedge bolts in the front.
1a. Rear Shocks may be moved for wedge bolt clearance, Heim Shocks allowed on rear only. Can be mounted in the front or rear of the housing
2. Racing or stock springs allowed.
3. Any car found to be modified in any way will be disqualified.
4. Jack bolts allowed on the rear only
5. Stock trailing arm, bottom stock, and top can be altered for pinion angle. Must be stock type and in the stock location. Rubber type bushings (no steel).

TIRES AND WHEELS
1. 8-inch Steel wheel Max. 1 inch lug nuts mandatory. Beadlocks optional any 60 or 70 series DOT tires allowed. Not made for racing tires for example DOT Hoosier or McCreary.
2. No grooving of tires

Protest & Engine Claim
Engine Claim Long Block only No Accessories

$2000.00 you must be on the lead lap to be eligible to claim and the money must be paid before you leave the track to the track official. Refusal of claim nets you no points or money for that night. Refusal twice and you must move up a class or set out for the remainder of the season.

1.$250.00 cash tear down rule. Any driver is subject to protest by any other driver in the same division if said driver is on the lead lap. Protest must be within 5 minutes from the end of feature race. $250.00 cash must be paid to the technical inspector. Protest pertains to carburetor, intake, heads, exhaust, and top of piston stroke. The track will retain $50.00 of tear-down fee. Winner of protest will receive $175.00 cash. If you refuse to tear-down all points and money are lost for that night. The track will keep $50.00 regardless of the outcome. If you refuse tear-down twice, you will be banned from racing in that class for 8 weeks.

$500.00 for complete tear down, The winner of the protest will receive $400.00 cash. If you refuse to tear-down, all points and money will be lost for that night. The track will keep $100.00 regardless of the outcome. If you refuse tear down twice you will be banned from racing in that class for 8 weeks.

The Technical Inspector's Decision is Final!
